Peer Counseling
If you are pregnant - and weren't planning on it - it can be very overwhelming. You have a lot of decisions to make. Sometimes it's good to talk with someone who can listen and help you sort through your choices, express your concerns, and voice your fears. Counseling offers a safe environment for you to open up about what you are really feeling.
Our peer counselors are there to listen and offer encouragement. You will be warmly greeted when you arrive. You can probably just sit on the couch and just talk. The counselor may ask you some questions to get the conversation started, but she is really there to listen. He/she is there to also address any questions or concerns you may have, as well as link you to resources within the community, if needed. We also offer a male peer counselor to speak with fathers wanting to enroll in parenting classes. All our peer counselors volunteer their time to offer support and a listening ear. All our of counseling services are confidential and you can request to see your counselor again should you choose to return.
